Course Description

This course covers the design, implementation, and protection of secure networks. Topics include network architectures, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, wireless security, and secure protocols. Students gain hands-on exposure to securing enterprise networks and analyzing network traffic to identify threats.



Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of this course, students will be able to:
  1. Demonstrate an understanding of the principles and technologies of network security, including topics such as firewall design, access control, and network security protocols.
  2. Perform tasks to identify and assess network security vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate countermeasures.
  3. Use network security assessment tools and techniques to evaluate the security of a network.
  4. Perform the tasks to develop and implement a network security plan that addresses the specific needs and risks of an organization
